If you agree to showcase your own property here, this is the place to be.  You assign no rights to us at all other than that of linking to your music on the internet and your agreement to participate in the toptwentyunsigned.com website.  If you submit material for inclusion on toptwentyunsigned.com you will fulfill all requirements detailed on this page.

Let's state the obvious: this is not just a chart, this is not just a competition, because all the work here is equally inspired, unique and well, just plain brilliant.

To submit material for inclusion on toptwentyunsigned.com all of the following apply:

• Top Twenty Unsigned showcases the work of artists who have not signed legal contracts with any record label or distributor
• Music of unsigned artists is linked to on the basis that all rights owners of the music linked to here agree to the link being placed on toptwentyunsigned.com and agree to be listed on the site.  Rights ownership include all the following: authorship, arrangement, recording, production and distribution.  One weeks notice must be given to toptwentyunsigned.com if existing links are required to be removed from the toptwentyunsigned.com website.

If you are 100% certain that the above applies to your submission:

• Unsigned artists submitting a track should include the website address linking to their track in the body of the message (below), a link to a track which is freely available for download or streaming.  The track will be in mp3 or ogg vorbis format and should be of a maximum duration of five minutes.  Kindly make it clear which track you are submitting in the body of the email.  Ideally we require to be able to link to your mp3 on your own website.  Some third-party websites may not like "deep-linking" despite the fact that we're increasing web traffic to their site.  Most websites welcome the links but it remains your responsibility to ensure that the link is acceptable.
• If the material is to be listed here a link to the track will be in place within four weeks of receipt of the email.
• No charges are made to artists whose material is featured on this website and no liability is accepted on our part under any circumstances.
• Links will be checked by toptwentyunsigned.com periodically.  Broken links will result in an immediate exit from toptwentyunsigned.com
• It is not the policy of toptwentyunsigned.com to link to, promote or broadcast offensive material of any nature.  No liability is accepted in this regard.  We reserve the right to reject all unsuitable material.  Do not submit material if you have any doubts.
• No more than two tracks from the same artist/artists may feature on the toptwentyunsigned.com site at any one time.
• The operators of toptwentyunsigned.com reserve the right to remove any material from the site at any time without requiring explanation.

• Artists who sign a legal contract with a record label, distributor or any other party which may claim legal rights over the material subsequent to having their material featured on the toptwentyunsigned.com website are expected to inform us immediately
• A sense of humour shall be retained at all times.  The idea is to have fun!  Don't take it too seriously.
• We recommend that you submit one track per submission....keep your other songs for later submissions in order to give yourselves and your material lengthier exposure.  We are considering having a four month maximum stay in the charts per track to keep the chart as fluid and dynamic as possible -and make room for other artists.
• We regret that we cannot reply to emails.  Be assured, we do receive your submissions.  If we do have technical problems we shall draw them to your attention on the home page.
• The operators of Top Twenty Unsigned reserve the right to amend any of these requirements or the operation of this site at any time.  Only rights-owners whose material is currently being linked to from the toptwentyunsigned.com website will receive prior notice of material changes to the operation of toptwentyunsigned.com
• It is the requirement of those agreeing to participate in the Top Twenty Unsigned and submitting material to Top Twenty Unsigned to ensure that all the above criteria are fully met.
